The project space is owned by the ‘GemSe – Gemeinsam Sein’ association, which meets once a year for its autumn assembly. There is also an online meeting once a month, where current topics, requests and projects are discussed.
The collective is made up of the following areas:
- Residents live permanently on site (Currently 6 Persons live permanently at GemSe).
- Work groups are active on a long-term basis for specific focal points.
- Kombos are active for temporary events, projects and concerns.
- Satellites are part of the collective and form a network that extends far beyond the location.
- Visitors and organisers are anyone who use the space temporarily.
- Golden Gemsen support with regular donations to cover fixed costs.
- Direct lenders provide financial support for purchase, conversion and renovation costs.
