What can you look forward to?
Easy to moderately difficult hikes take us into the mountains of the Carnic and Julian Alps. We use the GemSe as our base, which is also where we start our hikes.

When spring returns, we want to connect, spend quality time together, and get things done. So let’s head out to the countryside to the GemSe!
We’re really looking forward to cleaning up inside and around the GemSe and carrying out some minor repairs. Specifically, we’ll be organizing storage, maintaining the grounds, mowing the lawn, trimming bushes, and building a path. There will also be plenty of room for creative projects; we’d love to produce some merchandise and are excited to hear your ideas. Of course, we can use the sauna, cook for each other, relax in the sun, have campfires in the evenings, and generally have a great time.

We’d love for people who have never been here before to join us, as these volunteer days are a great opportunity to get a taste of the GemSe community.

The Deep Cleaning AG <3
The Deep-Cleaning-AG is looking forward to our first deep-cleaning-days.
Let’s track down neglected corners and devote some time to deep cleaning together. Feel free to bring along your cleaning secrets and favourite cleaning utensils. If you have any questions or want to join, please write to the email address below.

In recent weeks, a small group within our community has begun to establish the “Murmeltierbau” as a complementary collaborative project centered around GemSe.
An additional small association has been founded, and a direct loan campaign has already been launched to purchase the neighboring house.

What can you expect?
After launching this format in 2024, we would like to offer it again in 2025 following a fabulous weekend. We will gather strength before the dark season and focus on sustainable activism, resilience, and burnout prevention. The energy workshop will also include short hikes in the surrounding area and time in the November forest.

The GemSe Collective mourns the loss of Dani, our friend and companion in dreaming and living a loving, friendly, just, and joyful world.
Dani passed away on October 12, 2025, after a tragic accident at the hospital in Ljubljana.
Wherever Dani was,
the network sun shone
in its most dazzling colors.

Dani, with ease, laughter, connection, love for animals, mountains, and nature, with understanding, wit, and laughter again and again, with a clear commitment to a more just world, enriching and helping to shape the GemSe community.
Thank you for the TIN* conversations. And for your encouragement to strive for us all to be even better off. But above all, for courageously showing us how to take the plunge.
Dani, we will miss you! We miss you! We will carry on everything you brought and created into the world!
