Be creative and lean back – come to F*Art Week! Paint, draw, make pottery, print, carve, write, collage, move… try out different techniques, learn new things in a summery, appreciative atmosphere. The joy of doing and creating together takes centre stage, no previous artistic knowledge is required. Let perfectionist demands go with a breeze!

We (Carolina, Mika and Leno) provide the framework and give a few creative inputs, but above all there is plenty of space and time to immerse yourself in the creative process and explore the arising topics.

F*art week takes place in a self-managed community space. Delicious food is provided and we help set up, cover up, wash up and tidy up together. At the end, we clean the space together so that the next ones staying at GemSe can enjoy themselves!

The costs are on a sliding scale between €510 and €630 according to your own estimate (the costs include accommodation, meals, fees for the workshop leaders and the materials we will be working with). Participants are responsible for their own travelling expenses. You will receive a guide to the price scale by email after you have expressed your interest. If you can’t afford it, let us know – we’re sure to find a solution!

Wanna help create spaces that are open, accessible and full of care? We warmly invite you to join our community building days at GemSe!

We will sleep in shared bedrooms and we will cook and clean together.

What we’ll be working on:

• A ramp & small terrace in front of the event space
• Restructuring the Kostnixladen (free shop)
• Preparing a space for exhibitions
• Lighting, painting, doors, plaster & more

It is  great if you bring experience in working independently & lots of energy for collective work!

A 5-day lab in which we’ll move between garden, forest, and studio to explore how ecosomatics, (co-)creative moving- and writing practices can inspire re:generative ways of relating amongst and beyond humans. What can we learn from being_with snails, trees, compost and co., on an embodied level, about and for our entanglements? How can we build re:generative communities,
amongst and beyond humans?
This lab will be an assemblage of guided sessions, open lab space for your curiosities, free time to enjoy the place, and experimental sessions.

Accommodation: camping or sleeping arrangements at GemSe (please notify us by email if needed) or renting accommodation in the area

Accessibility: The elevator construction site will be completely finished by the festival. This means that all floors will be accessible by elevator. The construction site for the accessible toilet is likely to still be unfinished, as there are still a few (tedious) steps to be completed. However, a mobile accessible toilet will be set up on site for the weekend.

Following your own direction, your inner compass, feeling a connection to the world around you and at the same time offering resistance – without burning out – can be particularly difficult for marginalized people in our society. We are often too busy being allowed to exist and defending our right to exist. This is exhausting and can leave us feeling disoriented.
What else might it be like? Using methods from Somatic Art Practice and nature connection, we go on a search together.
