Ready for another go: Skill-sharing weekend has been postponed to 25–28 February 2027
We warmly invite you to our skill-sharing weekend at GemSe!
At this queer-feminist, solidarity-based community space in the Gailtal valley, we are creating a space where we can inspire one another and learn from each other. GemSe is a social meeting place and project space surrounded by nature, where connection, collective learning and solidarity are at the heart of everything we do – far away from everyday life, right in the middle of the countryside.
Through workshops, open sessions and facilitated exchange formats, we want to share and practise knowledge and practical skills in group facilitation, conflict resolution and communication methods in social movements and self-organised projects. Here, facilitation means shaping conversations in a way that ensures everyone is heard and enables us to move towards collective action productively – an important skill when bringing together diverse perspectives and seeing conflicts as opportunities for growth and development.
The weekend offers time to get to know one another, cook and eat together, experience nature and celebrate, as well as space for lively discussions and experimenting with different methods.

Arrival by 25 February 2027, 4:00 pm, dinner at 5:30 pm, check-in and getting to know each other at 7:00 pm
End: 28 February 2027, 1:00 pm

Accessibility information:
A lift provides access to all facilities at GemSe. One room has an accessible bathroom. The kitchen is not wheelchair accessible underneath the work surfaces.
For: All Genders.
Food: We will organise groceries in advance so that we can cook vegetarian/vegan meals together. Please let us know about any intolerances or allergies when registering.
Languages: Please let us know which language(s) you feel comfortable working in. English and German can be organised. Unfortunately, due to funding restrictions, we cannot provide interpretation into Austrian Sign Language (ÖGS).

When registering, please write us a few words about what you would like to contribute to the skill-sharing weekend. Bring your curiosity, your experiences and your enthusiasm for exchange! We will develop the programme together on site. The wonderful surrounding nature and the atmosphere at GemSe provide a beautiful setting for our time together.
